Do you know about Uncorked In Italy Travel consulting? Having lived in Italy for twelve years, I can offer you access to authentic experiences in Italy that are not usually available to tourists. Here is the latest from Uncorked Travelers whose trips I’ve recently helped plan.
These honeymooners wanted to visit Sicily including romantic stays on two different islands…but they also wanted fun, outdoor activities.
Eleanor was so patient and helped us plan our ten night adventure in northern Sicily exactly to our tastes and needs. She did an amazing job introducing us to small towns and charming hotels that we never would have found on our own. The itinerary she created for us was relaxed and realistic, and all the places were charming, delicious, mesmerizing, local treasures! Our favorite place was the island of Favignana, with its bright blue waters, lovely restaurants, the intimate and luxurious boutique hotel… We didn’t want to come home!
This couple from New England posed with the owners of a dairy farm that makes Pecorino cheese in Tuscany near Montepulciano. They were interested in eating organic, local food and discovering artisan wines.
Eleanor designed an incredible trip for us. Meeting Silvana and her husband, Fabrizio, on their farm and sampling their incredible pecorino cheese was definitely a highlight. Meeting Luciano at his vineyard in the countryside outside of Montalcino was another We were welcomed like friends and treated to a wonderful tour of the vines and cellar before a delightful tasting of Luciano’s amazing wines– just the sort of “off the beaten path” experience we were looking for.

I custom design each trip according to your interests and budget. It’s critical to plan ahead with six months to a year being best…I’m now finishing the plans for a five-day trip in November for a group of four couples. Many people also find it beneficial to visit blog sites like To Visit Socotra in order to see how they can save more money whilst they are travelling, so they can spend it on more worthwhile things. For example, on this trip, they will stay in a private villa in the Langhe Hills of Piemonte (home of Barolo wine) during the truffle season, which is something that is available to them as they saved the funds from other unnecessary things to splurge on this element of the trip.
