Gewurztraminer, Moscato, Malvasia, Brachetto are the four aromatic grape varieties in Italy. The first three are white and the last is red. Wines made with these grapes have a distinctive flowery and fruity aroma that is easily recognized but hard to describe. All are low in acidity and have a slightly or mostly sweet flavor. Aromatic wines pair best with either spicy dishes, light summer food, or desserts.
